Biography of Tacorra Gray, M.Ed, BCBA
Tacorra Gray, M.Ed, BCBA, is an Educational Therapist with a heart for learners with diverse learning and behavioral needs who are often left behind in traditional education settings. Tacorra’s education includes a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Educational Therapy from Holy Names University in Oakland, CA. Tacorra also earned the distinction of being a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst.
Tacorra has used her education and expertise to serve families and students in several public and private schools. Tacorra most recently served as the Mutli-Tier System of Support Coordinator for Lighthouse Community Public Schools in Oakland, CA. In this role, Tacorra plans and coordinates academic, counseling, and behavioral services for students in grade levels K-5. At the heart of her work is Tacorra’s passion and purpose for working with educators and families as an Educational Therapist. Tacorra has used her education and experience to work directly with teachers in the classroom making recommendations on how they can best support students who require Tier 1 and Tier 2 level support in math and reading. Tacorra particularly loves working with individuals with reading challenges using the lens of Applied Behavior Analysis to meet the individual needs of diverse learners.
When she’s not providing opportunities for families and schools, Tacorra is spending quality time with her husband and children, doing creative projects, and reading books. Tacorra also proudly represents the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
